Comics 101 for 04/07/2005 Star Wars: Empire #25 - Thumbnails, Layouts, Finished Pencil Art and Final Colors
Here's a look at my process of creating sequential art for Star Wars: Empire #25 (written by Ron Marz) from my thumbnail drawings, layouts and pencil art to Michael Atiyeh's final colors.
First, after reading Ron's script, I develop my thumbnail sketches, then I build up towards full size layouts (or larger rough sketches), and finally, produce the finished pencils. After I ship the pages to Dark Horse Comics for approval they are sent to Michael who works his magic painting over my pencils with digital color. Have a look below.
